Nice that you're here!

My name is Michelle. I was born in Gütersloh in 1992 and am an abstract artist. My passion for expressing feelings and emotions artistically has accompanied me my entire life. As a child and teenager, I drew, painted, and sewed a lot. After that, my creativity took a back seat for a few years because I believed I had to complete a "safe" apprenticeship and university degree first.

So, I initially worked in business for a total of 12 years, most recently as a manager. I completed a bachelor's degree in business administration and a master's degree in industrial and communication psychology while working. During this time, I was successful, but anything but happy. There was hardly any time for creativity, and I spent a long time searching for balance and what makes me happy and defines me.

In 2022, after completing my master's degree, I began my artistic journey and discovered my passion for abstract art on canvas. I quickly realized how fulfilling painting was for me and wanted nothing more than to turn my calling into my profession.

In the summer of 2024, I took the plunge and quit my secure job as an employee to devote myself fully to my passion and calling: art. Since then, I couldn't be happier!

My art is colorful and full of positive energy—it's meant to bring joy and uplift every day. Each work of art is an expression of my positive attitude toward life. My mission is to not only provide visual joy through my art, but also to bring inspiration and positive impulses into your everyday life.

My work is based on intuition - I let myself be guided by colors, emotions and moods to create unique works.

I am particularly fascinated by oversized formats, as large works of art have a special effect in the room and I can paint particularly freely with these formats.

All my artworks are lovingly handcrafted with attention to detail. I build and stretch my own stretcher bars and work exclusively with high-quality acrylic paints. Since the wooden frames are also custom-made, I can create any size, no matter how small or large.

I share insights into my work on my Instagram channel @michellefrerk.

If you have any questions about my art or would like a custom format, please feel free to contact me at any time.

I look forward to hearing from you,

Michelle
